UEGCL Joins the 13th CPA Forum on Uganda’s Growth Path
We proudly sponsored the 13th CPA Economic Forum, held at Imperial Resort Beach Hotel in Entebbe from July 9 to 11, 2025. The three-day event was themed “Sustainable Economic Growth: Transforming Today, Thriving Tomorrow.” Our team was represented by the Chief Finance Officer of UEGCL, CPA Susan Taffumba Isubikalu, who joined a distinguished mix of accountants, policymakers, economists, and thought leaders to shape Uganda’s policy and growth trajectory.
The forum served as a critical policy think tank, spotlighting sustainability, green finance, the transformative role of accountants, and national strategies to position Uganda as a global leader in IFRS Sustainability Disclosure Standards, Publicist East Africa. Keynote addresses set the tone for bold economic ambitions, including plans to return to 7% GDP growth by 2025/26 and achieve middle-income status through disciplined, inclusive policymaking.
By participating in the Forum, UEGCL reaffirmed its role not merely as an energy provider but as a strategic enabler of Uganda’s broader vision for economic empowerment and sustainable transformation.
