UEGCL Annual Report Report 2022

The UEGCL 2022 Annual Report highlights a year of strong financial and operational growth. Revenue rose by 24.3% to UGX 210.9 billion, operating profit grew by 22% to UGX 66.3 billion, and total assets increased to UGX 7.2 trillion, driven by the addition of the 50 MW Namanve Thermal Power Plant. Installed capacity reached 613 MW, representing 45% of Uganda’s total generation capacity, while shareholder equity increased to UGX 860.6 billion and net profit stood at UGX 27.9 billion.
