UEGCL sends O&M staff to Kafue Gorge Press Release

Uganda Electricity Generation Company Limited (UEGCL), in partnership with the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA), has launched a 5-year Hydropower Operations and Maintenance Excellence (HOME) program running from 2020 to 2024.

The program, supported by a grant of NOK 84.4 million (over UGX 33 billion), provides technical assistance and capacity building for O&M teams at the Karuma and Isimba Hydropower Plants. Its goal is to establish UEGCL as a professional and efficient operator of its hydropower assets through improved systems, procedures, and best practices.
